Nobody can fail to have heard the news that supermarkets, having weaned us off free plastic carrier bags, are about to remove all plastic packaging from fruit and vegetables. They are also doing away with those fiddly little plastic bags (that take an age to open), provided to put your loose fruit and vegetables in. At some point very soon you will likely have all your produce running about your trolley, and on the way home your potatoes will be fraternising with your carrots in your shopping bag, round the back of the baked beans and cornflakes!
Now in stock the 7964 – 3 pack of Mesh Produce Bags are designed especially to pick and pack fruit and veg during your weekly shop. Each box contains 3 different sizes of bag – 34×30, 30×26, 26x22cm. These bags can be used over and over again, just keep them with your stash of supermarket shopping bags, which has become a habit for many already. They weigh next to nothing so won’t add much if anything at all to your shopping bill. If they get a bit dirty, just pop them in with your washing to get them good as new.
One additional benefit of being open mesh is that when you get home you can put the mesh bags with the produce straight in the fridge – this will more likely prolong the life of your purchases, as the plastic bags often get sweaty and the produce bag allows your fruit and veg to breathe.

With the demise of the free carrier bag we felt it was time to re-introduce this magical product. “Magic bag – really?!” It rolls or folds down really small, you can even pop it in your pocket, but goodness, it holds much much more than it looks vaguely capable of – magic!
There are two colours: Navy Blue and Cream/Natural (no bleach) in each carton and inner. With a choice of 7743 Long, or 7742 Short handle lengths.
Being made from cotton, it’s a natural bio-degradable material. If it does eventually wear out, just chop it up and sprinkle it into your compost heap.
